the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them

A feature of Trumpism that seems to deviate from classical fascism is that it‘s sometimes unclear whether its primary aim is racial oligarchy through ethnic cleansing or producing fascist „content“ to distract from the looting of the state by the hydra-headed kleptocracy spawned by neoliberalism
When this criminal was jailed, the judge told David Gentile and America: ‘This is a warning to would-be fraudsters that seeking to get rich by taking advantage of investors gets you only a one-way ticket to jail.’ I guess not

Steven Spielberg‘s 2002 film Catch Me If You Can is notable for having two memorable pieces of dialogue involving mice: „If you give a mouse a cook, he‘ll want a glass of milk“, and of course Christopher Walken‘s memorable „two little mice“ monologue.

we still haven't moved past the double meaning problem here---the people who want Zohran to be "tougher on antisemitism" really mean "silent on Israeli genocide."
WELKER: What is your message to Jewish New Yorkers who feel you won't be tough enough in your response to antisemitism?

MAMDANI: That I am looking forward to being the next mayor and fulfilling the commitment I've made to Jewish New Yorkers to not only protect them but to celebrate and cherish them

Melinda Cooper's Family Affairs, but needs more psychoanalysis.
So much of MAGA politics seems like dark Freudian family dramas.

Some people will destroy a country before they go into therapy.
"Mom and Dad are separated" doesn't strike me as a particularly healthy lens for engaging with politics.
