in an era when carnivore diet influencers are in charge of the american nuclear arsenal we have to admit the "annoying vegan" stereotype barely ever actually existed and the "all meat diet guy" is real, increasingly omnipresent, and way more annoying and inconvenient to actually be around

In 2029 (similar to 2009), the US will have an opportunity to finally enact real social democracy and meaningfully attack the forces of reaction that destroyed so much. The question is if the US forces of progress will be able to seize this opportunity and see it through.

Today’s news really does underline the need to pass @janeese4dc.bsky.social’s bill to Fund Local Journalism 51st.news/opinion-dc-m...
Opinion: D.C. must invest in local news
The need for public investment in local journalism is dire. The Local News Funding Act would support vital sources of information in D.C.

I think it's best for everyone to understand that the unified class project of billionaires right now is to do to white collar workers what globalization and neoliberalism did to blue collar workers.

Our administration doesn’t just stand with workers — we deliver for them.

We’ve already secured more than $5 million for delivery workers who were wrongfully deactivated, and we will keep fighting for the fair pay and dignity they deserve.

Chotiner: I can see that. I can see finding Nandor, Laszlo and Nadia entertaining.

Documentarian: Exactly.

Chotiner: So. How many people did you watch them murder?
