I used to work in an independently owned video rental store. These days I teach English to international students. I draw and write, but mostly for myself.

I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

Should I watch clips of the Charlie Kirk funeral, or wait till Leni Riefenstahl edits it all together?

ICE is not a sacred arm of the government enshrined in our Constitution. It’s an ugly and superfluous vestige of post-9/11 paranoia and jingoism and should absolutely be abolished.
The Smart People said "Abolish ICE" was too radical. Then ICE kidnapped students, sent innocent people to a mega prison, broke into a car to take a mom from her daughter, and tried questioning elementary kids while lying that they had parents permission.

Ask yourself: which part is more "radical"?

I can’t believe Musk is just stealing a bit from the Argentinian president who is currently under indictment for crypto-fraud…
No wait, actually that tracks.

Canadian Parliament should call Trump’s bluff and approve a proposal to admit each Province as a U.S. State — it would totally rebalance the Senate and we could impeach him and restore Canada’s sovereignty.

Once again my existence is validated despite a dearth of tangible output!
if you made art this year, you did well. a sketch, even if it was scrapped ; a poem, even if it was deleted — mattered. you put thought to paper, you engaged with the creative alchemy of turning feeling to something tangible. doesn't matter if you weren't productive "enough." or good "enough."

Watched two of the more obscure Rankin-Bass holiday specials last night— Pinocchio’s Christmas and The Leprechaun’s Christmas Gold. I now know firsthand why they remain uncelebrated.
