I mean, I watched that show, but who else did? 🤣 I do think the 3 you mentioned have the biggest shot at achieving that kind of status IF they get big media exposure (in something popular) Comics sell too little now to do the job alone. It’s not like the old days when X titles were selling 400K

The newer character’s odds of becoming iconic are torpedoed mostly by this -no team roster lasts more than a couple years now. Readers don’t have a chance to get attached in that same way when they’re gone by the next creative team.

Drew Struzan was the greatest movie poster artist who ever lived. We can’t think of so many of our most beloved movies without thinking of his art. I had his 1978 Star Wars re-release poster hanging on my wall for years. RIP to a true legend in what is sadly now a mostly lost art form.

Yeah… I’ll give you that, she may be the only exception. Being introduced on a popular cartoon, and then the movie Logan helped. And like you said, she’s a variation/clone/child/whatever of the team’s most iconic member, so she had a leg up.

Every iconic X-Man (that are not the O5) was created during Chris Claremont’s run, or immediately after, like Bishop. No newer X-Man, no matter how much you like them or how cool they are, is ever gonna be as popular as those featured when the book was regularly selling half a million copies a month

It’s either A: he legit does not remember he was still President on Jan 6, 2021, and the FBI was led by his handpicked guy, B: the MAGA cult doesn’t remember, or C: They can just make up their own reality and just agree that’s what happened.
