What started as relief that RFK Jr. did not go shirtless this time quickly curdled into a creeping suspicion that something was deeply wrong. That the "pull-ups" we were witnessing were not, in fact, real.

When people pay in cash at shows that money literally buys my groceries. I don’t put it in the bank I just pay cash for all my food, it’s great. Direct action. That 20 bucks you gave me is going straight to winco in a few days and ima turn it into bananas and bagels.

Here's some process stuff for the Belsnickel piece (I share these on my Patreon when I post new figures).
I rarely redo a figure from scratch once I've gotten as far as inks -- usually the pencils tell me when it ain't working -- but this one, I wasn't feeling its first pass.

This is a good article. I've been weary of the Hero's Journey for a long time, for all the reasons she says. Lone heroes are not how we actually create better worlds. And I definitely relate also to having to break with formulas to find a narrative that's true to a character.
