Ideally, your font thickness should be similar to the balloon stroke thickness. If the stroke is too thin compared to the font, it looks weak and amateur. There's no weight to hold your eye to the text and looks very distracting. #comicbooklettering

Letterers still don’t get royalties.
My hot comic take is all wfh comic shit should be paid a salary, every other week, like everyone else at the publishing company. I’m tired of hearing about our colleagues crowdfunding funerals and healthcare.

Please do. Most of the time, they'll give you who you want if you ask. You don't wanna get saddled with someone who's work you don't like, do you? (And it's probably be or Nate, anyway, right?) 😉
Comics writers and artists — please request your favorite colorists and letterers when working on a new project with a publisher. Can’t hurt to ask. (And if you don’t really care who letters/colors your work…that’s disappointing on a lot of levels.)
