Around the world sex and love is considered more taboo than violence and hate, and that’s pretty fucked up if you think about it for even a minute

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

It is 100% justified to hate bullies.

Their whole fucking thing is punching down.

What’s a nice thing you can do for a tree? (Besides watering it; I feel like trees don’t need my water?)

Nichelle Nichols was going to leave Star Trek, but MLK talked her out of it. Something I am only just putting together is that MLK knew Representation Matters.

And so do the racists, and that’s why they push back so hard even against black mermaids and why they continue to do so every single time

To make it clear, it’s not Star Trek I’ve lost faith in, it’s Paramount. I’ve only seen a little bit of the new show, but it seems delightful

This will be my evergreen post for probably all future Trek

With a couple years distance and reflection, can we agree to reevaluate Bullet Train?

That movie was fun as hell and everybody seemed to sleep on it. It’s not deep, it’s just really good at pushing past the modest expectations for its genre

It’s a nice companion to Kill Bill and John Wick

People should read this.

Political influencers are mostly trash from the ground up.
amazing how the entire machine can pivot within 24 hours. no need to slowly upsell the argument; just issue new marching orders

The first Zootopia was basically an X-Men plot, and I’ll be very disappointed if the sequel doesn’t follow suit

I’m sure it’s a fine show, but anime promotional art featuring a single dude and a harem’s worth of pretty girls has become a bit of a red flag for me. Am I the only one?

To be clear, I’m not judging the show, I’m just *pre-judging* it as not for me specifically. I don’t want it to appeal to me

Dear @wadjeteyegames.bsky.social ,

I had a dream you collaborated with the Tex Murphy people to make a new Tex Murphy adventure game since I assume FMV is no longer feasible.

Please make my dream come true. I don’t know about Chris Jones, but Aaron Conners is still writing books for the character

Pluribus is so frustrating to watch. There’s so many interesting questions and mysteries and this woman just has zero curiosity to ask.

Like what is the rest of the world doing during all this time? How many people does it take to cater to the every whim of 11 people? What about the rest?

Jesus fucking Christ, America. We are a shithole country with a shithole president and a shithole congress that does nothing to stop this entirely preventable violence. Fuck your guns and fuck you.
so far tonight msnbc has interviewed two students from brown university that are also survivors of separate high school shootings.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I don’t really get why Running Man isn’t being talked about more

Yeah it’s blatant with its messaging, but it’s an interesting world and a meaningful story. And above all, it looks fun

It might be playing to the cheap seats, but that’s literally what the story is about. I loved it for what it was

I just saw someone say they should make a big budget open world Star Trek game… and that seems wildly impractical for a number of reasons.

And apparently Dramatic Labs is all but dead.

So here’s the game I’d like to see: a starship simulator social sim
November 11, 2025 at 7:32 PM
…so with how much I’ve been enjoying Dispatch, I have to wonder: is Dramatic Labs going to announce a Star Trek Resurgence sequel? Or any new project at all? STR actually came out in 2023, right? Is it weird they’ve been pretty silent on new projects since?
