JD Vance: "Denmark hasn't done a good job at keeping Greenland safe."

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time that a Greenlander was shot dead by a masked agent of their own government?

When?!

If long COVID leads to Alzheimer's

And 3% of Brits have long COVID

Surely a good public health policy right now would be to protect more people from getting covid, developing long COVID, and in turn Alzheimer's?

It is darkly funny that American universities are for the most part elite research institutions yet for 90% of them their highest paid employees are football coaches. (And given that most of them are "state Us", that means the highest paid public employees in most states are coaches.)

Reminder that in the UK an incoming radical, populist government would have immediate access to immense, unchecked executive power.

And the current government is doing nothing to protect us from that.
NEW

The UK constitution is even more vulnerable than the US constitution

In the face of an illiberal radical assault, what has happened politically in America could easily happen in the UK

White House publishes a picture, in which it places Greenland in front of two marked roads, one with the US flag and the second with those of China and Russia.
The Greenlanders respond with a picture in which the Greenland sled is heading on a single road, towards Denmark and NATO. 😂😂😂😂😂

Respecting the autonomy of indigenous Greenlanders includes respecting their overwhelming democratic choice of leaders that push for increased autonomy but also continued association with Denmark and NATO. (Which is not at all an unusual one for a small island colony!)
He was elected recently, after the first threats from Trump. The party that wants to push harder/faster for full independence from Denmark only got 25% of the vote, and even they have made clear that they only want it in the context of Iceland style security arrangements.

France will "align its action with Denmark."

Denmark said they'll "shoot first."

France is a nuclear armed country, most of their nukes are on submarines, which could be anywhere, like 300 miles off the US coast.
