Remember what matters. Our lives are short, but the future stretches out forever.
Everyone says "take care of yourself" but in my view, frankly, that is a juvenile approach to life. Take care of your children, of all children, of the future. Deprioritise your "self."
Their future is in our hands.
So Chopra and a bunch of other "gurus" are in the Epstein files. I never liked them. Someone gave me a Chopra book in 1999 or so, I read three pages and never picked it up again.

Anyone who tells you you can live a spiritual life AND be guaranteed six figures and a house in Hawaii is lying to you.
Wellness woo grifters – like Chopra & Attia – often market themselves as wise & above corruption. Nope.

The US government has been infiltrated by foreign adversaries. Like, a while ago
As the world comes to grips with the fact that an FBI source told our government that Jared Kushner is controlled by the Russians and Israelis and Team Trump did nothing with that intelligence, CNN shows up with a truly *disgusting* puff piece on Kushner:

This is a darkness which has infiltrated many governments, polluted decision-making and undermined democracy, worldwide.

As the UN OHCHR has said, we need FULL DISCLOSURE, and we need criminal investigations in affected jurisdictions.
I get why Trump thought he could gaslight and bully Americans about the Epstein files but did he really hold the view the rest of the world 🌎 would not insist an international crime ring not be taken down?

Along with the embargo, one of Cuba's 3 oil refineries happened to explode.
The oil economy is not independence.
“We will end the suffering in Cuba,” say the Americans now making Cuba *suffer like never before* 😡

Yes, we do, it's ok. But as we failed to do with Venezuela, all nations (other than the trump-Putin axis of evil) need to make a clear statement that any aggression against Cuba will be met with "collective self-defense" under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The Canadian relationship with Cuba is something to be very proud of!
February 17, 2026 at 6:43 AM
I'll add - there are some daft comments in this article about Cuba - Cube is not perfect, but has Cuba ever deposed a foreign leader? Kidnapped one? Overthrown other democracies? Participated in genocide? Are Cuban leaders lawless criminals, are they in the Epstein files?
Canada needs to step up and do more for Cuba. We can the Trump Regime pick us off one by one, or we can stand together.

Kendzior's newest is out. Her posts often remind me that I have never seen Twin Peaks.
I didn't see much of anything that came out 1990-95, I was either hitchhiking the world, in the woods, or at the bar.
I was also consciously disconnecting from the media world. Should get back to that.

If every home and business had solar / wind and batteries, with smaller distributed backup power stations, this would distribute power generation in a way that would make it almost impossible for an enemy to target and disrupt.

No one believes American words anymore. We now only observe actions. This is what we see:

- US threatens allies with war
- US has removed all support for Ukraine
- US sells weapons to Europe at inflated prices. US is a war profiteer
- US supports Russia's narrative
- US cooperates with Putin

"we need to build movements that tell the truth," on so many fronts.
We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

Just a reminder that on the Climate Performance Index Canada ranks 61st, or "very low." The USA, even under Trump, is 65th.

That's how much we suck at this. Canada is a petro-state. The CPI notes that Carney is the previous UN Climate Envoy and has rolled back climate policies.

Yeah. Again, why can't we solve climate change? Because they are literally killing us for money, and everyone treats it like a legitimate policy choice.
We worship them. Elevate them to a place of reverence. Assume they are smarter and work harder than everyone else. We elect them to offices they have no business being near. Their words are treasured as wisdom. They are protected by laws written by politicians beholden to their support.

Here’s a great article👇about 🇨🇦’s ties to Palantir:
“When the CPP invests in Palantir, it uses your retirement money to finance a company with a documented record of human rights abuses. …Anyone paying into a public pension funding Palantir has the capital to demand divestment.“
Amen. 6/x
Canadians mad about ICE:

Know that we are complicit and we are vulnerable.

Canada is one of Palantir’s biggest funders, our pensions are tied to Palantir’s business. Which includes supporting ICE, profiting off genocide in Gaza, and human rights violations.

I agree. But, why do African countries have debts to the west when we've been stealing their resources (and people) for hundreds of years?

Thanks for speaking out, Senator Simons.

We do. Like Poland, we want every Canadian connected to this to be investigated, and prosecuted if there are grounds.
We want proceeds of crime legislation to be used to seize every asset and dollar they have in this country.
And we want every politician connected to it investigated and exposed.
I'm pretty sure Canadians expect the same.
