Teachers have long been target of Red Scare & McCarthyism, since controlling what & how young people learn is key to controlling whether or not they can make informed decisions, think critically, & challenge status quo.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

During the first Trump administration, I think the trump Republican administration gave a contract to fix electric utilities in Puerto Rico to two guys whose address was a cabin in the woods somewhere. Once found out may have been canceled, but who knows. Anyone else remember that?

For those unaware about the significance of the light poles during the song El Apagón it’s because of the Puerto Rican power system and the constant black outs. There have been a lot of protests on the island over this.

During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.

I read an essay that compared GOP racism to drug addiction; they can't stop, even when it hurts them. It's the lens through which they view the world.

The Hispanic pop of the US is its largest minority, only growing, and it's in the best interest of every party to court that vote.

But they won't.

Bad Bunny's performance was very Puerto Rican and also very, very, VERY East Coast. As Kendrick's performance was both Black and West Coast. These people are mad at distinctly American performances because they don't like the color of the box the gift came in.
The reality is America is a huge multicultural multilingual country, not a white ethnostate, and venomous white supremacist MAGA crybabies lose it whenever that reality becomes unignorable. We should always seek to increase, not decrease, their discomfort. www.the-reframe.com/hating-the-g...
