My wife runs the education center for a nonprofit that also has a soup kitchen for whoever needs it. I’ve been an urban educator for 18 years, helping those who need it most. Trust me when I say this choice you have made will save so many lives. Thank you, Rick Steves! You are a real treasure!!!

Every summer, the Mashpee Wampanoag hold their annual powwow on July Fourth. I love the defiance embodied by the simple choice to put it on the calendar for that date.

Yet again, I raise the point that these “conservatives” are anything but. In reality, they are reactionary regressives, attempting to hide their true intentions within fundamentalist legal jargon to achieve extreme negative effects upon their hated caste
again, it is just arrogance. “there is one true meaning of the constitution and it can only be derived by a special caste of lawyers with a special interpretative lens and once discovered it is binding.”

This is awesome. I don’t buy into the “they’re all the same” narrative, and I also don’t think this is that. I think this is mostly about perspective. But I think it’s also about deception and obfuscation, which are very real political problems

Our polling place ran out of ballots. Waiting for more to arrive from town hall. Poll workers said turnout is off the charts. And this election is 100% local this year - only candidates and initiatives for our town of about 35K. I’m super pumped right now!!!
