Avant / Après l'agrandissement du trottoir sous le métro aérien près de Place de Stalingrad, dans le 19ème arrondissement de Paris. Et aussi, il y a une piste cyclable à la place de la voie générale d'avant, bref quand les voitures ne passent plus, on récupère de la place pour tout les autres ;)

What if public transit was designed by Disney instead of engineers? What if the transit journey was slower but fantastic?
It think this is slightly overstated (not “really, really slow,” but slower) but makes an important point around psychology vs physics (or enjoyment AND efficiency).

It’s not just about what you remove (cars, noise, dirty air). It’s about what you add (people walking, a lot of bike parking, trees, outdoor dining, and room for kids to play safely). Amsterdam: 1986 and today.

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.
