Before the end of the day we need to hear the Prime Minister. This has been a major event in our hemisphere.

I don't think Mr. Carney needs to directly accuse the United States of breaking international law, but Canadians need to hear from him re-interating Canadian values on state sovereignty.

Thank you so much for all the Christmas wishes.

Your support means everything to me. I mean that literally.

Without your reading, this COTW ended long ago.

Thank you, Merry Christmas, and see you for a huge game Sunday against Tampa
One team wanted to win it in the alley; the other wanted to win it on the ice. And without a good goalie early, braun may have won it.

Also, what each player, the coach, the GM wants for Christmas as I have a bit of fun in this Call Of The Wilde for Global Montreal.

The Canadiens tried to win this one with talent, while the Bruins tried to win it with brawn. Brian Wilde has more on Tuesday night's Montreal-Boston matchup.

When you think back to 2005 after the lockout and the pressure on 87 (and 8) to help reset the NHL, Sidney Crosby has blown away expectations which seemed unrealistic to begin with. And he’s been a perfect ambassador for the game on and off the ice. Jean Béliveau-like.

Extremely satisfying for the organization to have a 35-15 shot advantage and win with authority.

Also a thought on a seeming depth chart change perhaps in the making.

And how does the World Juniors look for the Canadiens?

All in the COTW for Global Montreal.

In praise of Seattle, which set up a huge Pride programming connected to the World Cup match it’s hosting - before anyone knew which teams would be taking the field.

Turns out it was Iran v Egypt, two countries where homosexuality is illegal. Egypt wants Pride banned.

Seattle isn’t backing down.

Mrs. the Chemist is wearing a holiday sweater with "Ho Ho Ho" on it.

So of course I asked my older child if they knew what "Ho" means.

Kids: "Uh, it's a bad word."

Me: "No, it's a chemical element, holmium. Do you know what the atomic number holmium is?"

Kid: "No."

Me: *smiles*

Got 'em.
