while “joy is an act of resistance” is certainly the favorite slogan of the most annoying liberal anarchist you know, its truth is sustained by the veracity of its inverse: that despair is an act of compliance

My vote is for the 22 second long tracking shot in the 1927 film, Wings. Still damned impressive, even in an era of CGI.

Republicans keep waxing on about how terrible regulation is for profit, as if regulations were arbitrarily placed on businesses for funsies instead of forced on them because they will choose to do the wrong thing every time if it makes them a couple of bucks!
Because in the United States, it’s legal to feed chicken shit to cattle.

That’s why. That’s literally the reason

Since deepseek ai was released I've been testing out what its capable of and it is really only good at like summarizing and organization and that's about it. Even there, you have to be very careful about it just fabricating shit. Its incredible that people think AI is ready to replace anyone yet.

I mean this when I say Elon is the most dangerous man in the world. Truly supervillain level of danger.
So Musk is using a “budget cutting” committee as a front to gain access to classified information to gain a competitive advantage over his competitors, while the CCP is also one of his most important business partners. Worth every penny of that PAC money.

Trump has repealed a Biden executive order mandating ethical behavior from administration employees.

The order told federal workers to:
-Not accept gifts from lobbyists
-Not take other bribes
-Not lobby for two years after government work
-And more

Now those rules are gone.
