The very fact that he voted suggests the subject must have been of importance to him as Farage had the lowest voting attendance record of any active MEP in the European Parliament. MEP voting records show Farage placed 745th out of 746 MEPs between July 2014 and May 2016.
Little reminder of Farage's pro Putin tendencies....

Hopefully some media outlets may take up @eddavey.libdems.org.uk 's suggestions to probe Mr Farage a bit more on this.

Is Farage saying he chose to support the wishes of a hostile foreign govt for free? 😲

From 2013 but if you accept the presumption that the situation has only worsened over the intervening period, it explains so much about today.

🧵🇺🇦Our new polling finds Brits consider concessions expected of Ukraine in the 28 point peace plan unacceptable. Majorities of Brits thinking cutting Ukraine’s army, allowing Russia to annex the Donbas, and ruling out NATO membership are unacceptable.

Shocking to see that those UK newspapers which repeatedly expressed outrage over the 'Rayner stamp duty' and 'Reeves rental licence' can't bring themselves to print a front page headline stating that the Covid-19 inquiry found Boris Johnson's 'chaotic' government cost 23,000 lives.

Sir John Major: “Brexiteers predicted other countries would follow their lead and leave the EU. None have. All saw only too clearly that Brexit was packed with disadvantages. As we meet nine further nations now wish to join, which is an apt comment on how the world saw Britain's decision.

NEW: Labour inherited public services in crisis. Performance had fallen, investment had been cut + spending plans were undeliverable.

It's made some progress, providing stability and positive long-term plans. But it has been undermined by poor prep in opposition and lack of co-ordination in govt 🧵

The aim of the 'Denmark' policy is deterrence which, if successful, will push asylum-seekers towards other countries. Such 'beggar-thy-neighbour' policies are vulnerable to similar policy developments in neighbouring states, thus reducing, or even reversing, the deterrent effect over time.

Farage calls it bias, but what he fears is balance. The BBC must report with courage, question every side, and refuse to echo rage for ratings. Truth has to sound calm when the world shouts chaos.

Exactly. Crimes, and their impact on the victims, are made no different by dint of the skin colour, religion or place of birth of the perpetrator(s). These factors are only relevant in attempting to support prejudice.

And, of course, the nativist ghouls this performative cruelty is designed to appease either don’t know or don’t care about facts or figures.
The costs of the UK’s Global Talent Visa looks a trifle high in comparison to competitor countries - largely through the Immigration Health Surcharge (which critics say is a form of double taxation as they contribute to the NHS through normal tax on their earnings)

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

The EUs new tethered bottle cap ruling will remind brexiters, everytime they open a bottle, how pointless their brexit vote was.

Brexit GB has to adhere to EU standards now with no MEPs to represent them.

Macron remarks are notable- some quotes: "We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."
President Macron: “Europeans, let's wake up!

We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks.”

With Trump it isn't just the lies, the corruption, the vanity, the disregard for the rule of law or even the dismantling of democracy. It's also the people he puts into key positions around him and their subsequent empowerment to implement their own contemptible schemes and agendas.
