I think clearsky is fascinating because every month or so I check it to see who blocks me and just go "who are you people" because literally all of them are people I absolutely do not know nor I think ever interacted with.
It's weird seeing the new-wave of writers in internet spaces suddenly out of the blue be shadow-boxing people who just want to worldbuild.
Like yeah, narrative is key to everything but what if homie really do just want to give you 5-8 paragraphs about a leg piston in a mech, lmao.

Its quite literally amazing to me that a company does the bare minimum (no AI in any creative process), and now people are treating them like the last decade and a half of choices have been nothing but Ws for the company, rather than the steaming hot pile of dogshit that they are.

I think both are earnestly culturally irrelevant but I will point out that people can at the very least tell you character names from the american attempt at anime over the sci-fi native american fanfiction.

An easy way to explain luddites:
Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.
