Something you almost certainly won’t see in the national news is how many tiny protests are all over the Twin Cities today.
They’re at stoplights. Parks. Bridges. Just everywhere. And people walking by are joining in. The solidarity is so deep.

I had noticed that weird gun at an angle in an ICE agent’s hand in the first video but didn’t feel I could draw any clear conclusions from what I saw. But this second video is strong evidence that it was a non-ICE gun. And that means he was unarmed at the time of the shooting.

I watched his hands as he fell to the ground from the shots and there is no evidence that there was anything in them. Also during the tackling and subduing, it looks like someone takes a gun from the scrum. In other words, if he had a gun, I think it was taken from him before he was shot.

I‘ve now watched the video from the woman in the pink coat. It shows that the victim was holding a cell phone and directing traffic. ICE began to assault a person near him and he tried to pull them off. He was then tackled & held on his knees. Not long after, shots fired and he falls to the ground.

It’s also striking in the video how many of the agents jumped back after the first shot was fired. This suggests they were surprised, which means they had no reason to believe lethal force was necessary. Their own body language tells the story.

Like, the DHS story about what happened with today’s shooting is physically impossible. And I don’t mean you need to look at subtleties like where were the feet and tires. I mean there were upwards of five people holding this person down, assaulting him. He was not in a position to shoot anyone.

I have watched the video of today’s murder several times and I am here to assure you that there were several agents restraining the victim when he was shot, and there is no way they were worried he was going to shoot one. Even if he had a gun, and I think that’s not true, he was not free to use it.

There were six or seven agents, trying to harm a man who looks unarmed and still they murdered him in broad daylight. These ICE agents are venal, incompetent, cowardly and this type of execution will keep on happening because they are an unchecked paramilitary force of scared men who crave power.
