When I hear that russia's concession in this peace process is their promise not to attack further, while in return, Ukraine shall give up lands, ppl, alliances etc, I'd laugh at the striking naivety (?) if it wasn't so tragic.

For Moscow, any article 5 like guarantees to Ukraine from NATO member states would not be much different from NATO membership unless Russia is also providing "article 5 like guarantees" to Ukraine with a veto power.

Black Sea thoughts:

The Russians have yet to respond to the Ukrainian USV attacks on tankers.

I think the reason why is mainly political. It would be a significant decision starting a campaign against shipping from Ukrainian ports.
