Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

Glad this is getting covered, but also… Completely surreal to read the NYT report on this as recently disclosed info, and just an allegation. This happened to every observer I know! It happened to me twice! I have it on video both times! www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/u...

Of course, if found guilty of anything (including murder),Trump will pardon them, all the while claiming they were treated badly, maybe like no one else ever has before.
Over and over again, ICE has not told the truth about what they did in Minnesota, smearing people as "terrorists" or "assassins” and giving false accounts of what happened. This is just one unbelievable example of many. But this was under oath.

Previously I was thinking, “Abolish ICE!”, but I now think it should be, tear it down and build it better.

I think that’s a message Jeffries and democrats could deliver without having to fumble.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries CRASHES OUT When Asked About "Abolish ICE" and AIPAC

Rep. Jeffries speaks eloquently when discussing policy and addressing the press, but he stammers & distracts when asked direct questions about Abolish ICE and cutting ties with AIPAC.

I realize media doesn’t think it’s a big deal that Trump, Vance & Hegseth continue to give partisan political speeches to troops, evidenced by the fact that they are never asked about it nor are members of Congress, but it is one of the most dangerous things happening right now.

Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.

“Now we’re supposed to trust this same government to police paperwork at the ballot box?”

Yeah, that’s a no for me.

The founders weren’t drunk when they decided the president shouldn’t have anything to do with elections.
The SAVE Act is an election power grab that could block millions of eligible voters.

Let’s be clear: we’ve already seen U.S. citizens detained by ICE despite having proof of citizenship. Now we’re supposed to trust this same government to police paperwork at the ballot box? tinyurl.com/yhwj7b77
New SAVE Act Bills Would Still Block Millions of Americans From Voting
The “show your papers” requirement is an attack on the freedom to vote.

Jeffries: "Republicans have clearly come to the conclusion they cannot win fair elections, so they've adopted voter suppression as a strategy. Which is one of the reasons we're making sure there's a clear separation between DHS & ability for state officials to ensure there are free & fair elections"

Just as ICE and CBP have no legitimate role in "election security" neither does the head of DHS. The mere existence of this press conference should be a scandal, much less this tone-deaf comment.

The SAVE Act would require Americans to show a passport or birth certificate in person just to register to vote.

Millions of Americans don’t have access to these documents. This is voter suppression, plain and simple.

Another shooting case falls apart (this time ICE, not CBP).

These are the Venezuelans that ICE excused shooting by claiming they beat him w/shovels.

No Tony. What burns is the flame of wrath lit by the heavy handed and brutal tactics which ICE has employed in countless communities across America.
Rep. Tony Gonzales on Minnesota: "The problem is you've got so many local municipalities that don't want to work together. And when that happens, your city burns."

This is an amazing point to find ourselves in. Not in a good way.
A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.
