Was recently told to essentially “Shut up and stick to bike advocacy” after a post supporting the trans community.
1. GTFO
2. My voice is not some singular thing - bike advocacy is a small part of my makeup-you don’t like me or my position on things refer to point 1

THIS IS IMPRESSIVE!
It's budget time so at the end of our interview w/ Mayor Bachynski, we gave him a printed poster of the image below. It's the density vs services vs taxes venn diagram that @brenttoderian.bsky.social often shares around. It includes Regina-related explanatory notes. #yqrcc

somewhere in an alternate universe there's museums with freeways that people can drive around on, and cities with streetcars people use in everyday life

so our government made a big deal about banning speed cameras but one city left theirs running to see what difference the ban would make and you are not going to believe this

what a policy failure to spend hundreds of millions on a bus rapid transit line and then cut funding for service so the bus isn't exactly so rapid(ly arriving) after all.

these cuts are going to be so brutal and we're going to need everyone hootin and hollarin' at legislators to find a solution
"""Bus rapid transit""" (service every half hour)

There is no better car advertisement than spending 30 minutes waiting on a bus.

i would say i'm on the struggle bus but they cut the funding for that too

have we tried leasing out the Oregon state capitol to fix all our budget problems
there is next to no pressure on the Oregon Republican party to write policy that doesn't end up with some level of financial ruin or loss in services.

it only has to "sound better" than whatever the Democrats propose, whether or not it actually keeps our state afloat.

The Oregon Democratic Party is so fucking bad at this my god.

REPUBLICANS ARE PUTTING A MEASURE ON THE BALLOT TO REVERSE THE HALF MEASURE Y'ALL PASSED. PUT YOUR OWN MESURE ON THE BALLOT TO CHANGE THE LEGISLATIVE QUORUM SO YOU CAN GERRYMANDER AWAY HALF OF THEIR DISTRICTS!

Phil Knight is once again rooting for Oregon Republicans next year
A recent $3 million donation to back GOP candidates is the largest single contribution by an individual in state history.

the fact that amtrak cascades hit another ridership record in FY25 despite shutting down for two weeks and spending half the year running smaller trains with higher prices bc of the horizon recall is another sign that the demand for rail in the pnw is genuinely insatiable
November 24, 2025 at 1:03 AM
why doesn't the Oregon GOP simply fight to repeal the gas tax altogether? Clearly, $0.06 more a gallon is too much for plowed roads and maintained bridges/traffic signals. maybe after 30 years of no road maintenance oregon will be a premier destination for gravel biking.

In tight spaces or heavy traffic, it’s not always easy to see who’s near. Active Side Collision Avoidance Support uses radar to detect cyclists or pedestrians on the sides. If someone’s there, it warns you or even steps in to brake if needed so you can keep others safe, even when visibility is low.
