Cars are a lot slower than people think. This driver commutes at 4 MPH. That's barely faster than walking (avg walking pace is around 3.3 MPH)

They could cut their commute to 15 minutes biking at 12 MPH, but they might not have a safe route to do so

We are forcing people into terrible car commutes

It's very funny to watch Mike Minogue, who donated money to Donald Trump and JD Vance, try to avoid saying he supports Trump ... before finally admitting he still supports Trump. Kudos to Sharman Sacchetti for not letting Minogue wriggle out of that one.

if the widespread road/freeway building had the economic benefit it's proponents claimed, the maintenance cost of the system would pale in comparison to the wealth generated.

Was recently told to essentially “Shut up and stick to bike advocacy” after a post supporting the trans community.
1. GTFO
2. My voice is not some singular thing - bike advocacy is a small part of my makeup-you don’t like me or my position on things refer to point 1

It's budget time so at the end of our interview w/ Mayor Bachynski, we gave him a printed poster of the image below. It's the density vs services vs taxes venn diagram that @brenttoderian.bsky.social often shares around. It includes Regina-related explanatory notes. #yqrcc
