I listened to The Daily podcast yesterday about marriage/sex & GLP1s. The story blamed a couple’s marital issues on the wife’s weight loss & her new found confidence. Most of the issues were standard for any fast weight loss. But they didn’t probe into the wife’s possible side effects from the meds!

My new favorite thing is when small children who were not alive for the 1st term of the Obama administration correct me when I tell them my dog’s name is Barack Obeagle. They always follow it with, “No, it’s Barack Obama!”

A 20 something coworker called me to get my reaction about the Tayvis engagement. My reaction was not what she was expecting. Middle aged single ladies aren’t the get excited about celebrity engagements demo. If this is what Tayvis wants, good on them.

I was offered a beagle puppy & I said no thank you. I am done adulting for the month. That was too much! For anyone with seeing why, we need a new president before I can get a new dog, thems the rules!

I have always been a twerp to @wentrogue.bsky.social & @makeherway.bsky.social. Now I appreciate their kind patience with me. I had a 33 yr old tell me today that we were the same age & I nearly lost my perimenopausal shit on her. Instead I said “Oh honey, we aren’t. But thanks?”

Don’t mind me, I’m just a childless middle aged woman up late shopping for minivans because I need something to comfortably shuttle around my dogs. My 2.5 yr old Newfoundland no longer fits in my Subaru, or any Subaru model for that matter.

I’m in my basement during a tornado warning trying to pull up ANY local live news feed and @wcconews.bsky.social @kare11.bsky.social @kstptv.bsky.social are giving me ads, pop ups for news letters, & 10pm broadcasts from 3 hours ago! This is not at all helpful!

It has been 60 years since Minnesota experienced as little crime as it did in 2024. For the vast majority of people alive in Minnesota last year was the safest of their lives.
Keep this in mind when politicians in upcoming elections attempt to use fear to get you to vote for them!
