Miami, playing Notre Dame at home 11 games ago, won by about the average homefield advantage. This is clearly the most important thing we learned from three months' worth of data

Prediction: Kentucky is going to end up with some mid-level MAC or Sun Belt coach or a retread, and all of their fans are going to be mad, and it will all be because they fired Stoops this year, which a lot of their fans wanted

I, in fact, will coach your team for $2m/yr with a reasonable buyout of say half the remaining salary in the deal. It's a bargain, really

Generally, buyouts are not paid out of the university's academic funds. So no, universities could not lower tuition by avoiding buyouts and, no, it wouldn't fund howmanyever professors. There's a discussion to be had about whether it's a wise societal use of money. But don't make bad-faith arguments
