The Dragon Quest handbook entries continue. Here are two creatures that favor attack and defense over agility. As you might be able to tell from my work, rhinos are some of my favorite animals. I do also like anteaters. I like pretty much every animal, come to think of it.

despite the miserable fall weather, the Abbot always made sure to take the novice monks out to his favorite mushroom foraging grounds. if they were lucky he'd also have the opportunity to teach them some weather forecasting tricks

If I remember correctly, in #GoldenSun the shoreline battle background is missable. So unless you intentionally go out of your way to get into a random encounter by the ocean, you may never see this background during a playthrough. #mtg #magicthegathering #proxy #EDH #mtgproxy

More Dragon Quest bestiary creatures, from IV and V. In DQ, the "Beast" family includes bipedal, clothèd creatures with animal attributes; you have to be fairly human to be in the "Humanoid" family. I created the "Beastman" family to separate animal-people from more conventional animals.

Day 19: Pu'erh

I've only tried one variety of pu'erh, but the one I have smells and tastes so much like sun-warmed hay that every time I drink it I get launched back into being a 12 year old horse-nerd. It's a neat experience.

This is the last drawing of this series for a while. Exploring costume ideas for this character has been really fun and relaxing!

I thought I'd do some Bestiary / Handbook entries for the Dragon Quest creatures I drew, because I greatly enjoy writing little blurbs and making page layouts. Here are two demons from DQII. The stats have been rounded and simplified (i. e. Silvapithecus' HP in the game = 89 > 90 > 9).

When we last saw Oko, it was on Thunder Junction after being confronted by his son, Kellan.

The sea-weed covered dolmen of Karec-Louièse off Carnac-Plage (Morbihan) now has just a collapsed capstone resting on one orthostat. It lies below current high tide level and reflects the post-glacial rise in sea level which continued into the early Neolithic. Card by Le Rouzic c.1905.
