The president has no business declaring that only supporters of his political beliefs can visit the United States. A Democrat who barred conservatives (or even full-blown Nazis!) from entry would be met with endless screams of anger and accusations of despotism. We can't keep playing this game.

If we cannot manage some drastic overhaul of our justice system that results in meaningful penalties when government agencies break the law, neither this government nor its constitution will survive.

The whole “don’t come to the hospital unless it’s a dire emergency” is exactly what happened in Chicago in 2020 and it was awful, esp for those of us who needed care. This should not keep happening. We have the technologies we need to prevent this and we aren’t using them. (Masks & air filtration.)
