one thing I'll add is that monuments can be taken down, buildings can be renamed, but we will NEVER get back the trans lives that are endangered from withdrawal of care as proposed in the US house bill, or the lives across the global south that were lost from USAID being illegally terminated.

Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Thrushes - here's a Taiwan Thrush and a Fiji Island-Thrush. Until recently both considered subspecies of Island Thrush, that complex is now considered 18 different species! 🪶

alright let’s get something more pleasant going. what two books would you leave out on your coffee table so a reporter can mention you have them. doesn’t matter if you’ve read them. for me it’s Pale Fire (which I did read) and Ulysses (got like 15% of the way in)

Sure thing @aba.org! Not a lifer lifer, but an ABA region lifer - Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary in Alameda, California. An Asian species, rare in CA. Found by Deborah Crooks two days ago, still here today! (ABA #691) 🪶
