#Bookvember Day 19: in the *huge* genre of fantasy:

1. Jim Butcher-keeps it fresh even after how many books?
2. Terry Pratchett-'nuff said.
3. @ehunterwrites.bsky.social fantastic worldbuilding.
4. @kevinhearne.bsky.social keeps me laughing.

So many more but I'd need the whole of the Rockies...

OMG. The neighbors have their Xmas lights up. Already. I can see them through the trees. (I miss trees in full leaf.)

I’m probably going to get castigated for this but anything by Brandon Sanderson. (I read one series at the suggestion of my youngest.) They ddrraagg. IIRC, it took most of the first book to even figure out the premise.

PSA for any Apub authors whose books are in the Anthropic settlement list: Amazon is not participating in the settlement, since they have an investment in Anthropic. When you submit your claim form, you DO NOT have to list Amazon as an add'l rightsholder, & can claim 100% of settlement money.

The temperature has dropped, as it does this time of year. It looks like a perfect day to stay indoors and write. Or read. Maybe both? #WritingCommunity #ReadingCommunity

#Bookvember Day 17:

Not one book but a series: the Glass & Steele (and subsequent The Glass Library) series by CJ Archer. A wonderful historical fantasy with slow-burn romance thrown in.

#Bookvember Day 16. While I read most anything but horror or erotica, my favorite is fantasy. Mostly urban fantasy & historical fantasy. I love worlds where paranormal species exist. (Especially dragons. Who doesn't like dragons? 😀)

Bookvember Day 15:

I've already said something about "Discovery of Witches" so today? Uh...again, so many to choose from in #urbanfantasy. My pick would be "Clean Sweep" by Ilona Andrews, the first in the Innkeeper Chronicles series. It's fun and fast-paced.

I always say one needs to learn the Latin binomials of herbs to avoid the confusion of common names. This book lists the herbs by Latin binomial. I did include a cheat sheet, though. No homework! 😉

Runes and Tarot are similar in that they offer guidance. Where I’ve seen a difference: Runes don’t go into quite as much depth as Tarot, forcing you to ponder and figure things out for yourself a little more. Since I suck at reading cards, I'm obliged to *think* about the message!

“This could take down Democrats, too.”

You promise?
"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.
