To be fair on Chamberlain, he used the time he bought at Munich to massively boost British rearmament in preparation for a possible war with Hitler.

At around 7am Moscow time (6am Kyiv, 4am London), there was a major development, with a thermal power plant in Moscow region being hit by Ukraine.

I stayed awake long enough to post 3 videos as the action unfolded:

The thread is over, but an important tease for Sunday's thread as a power plant has been hit by 2 "arrivals" according to locals.

The Shatura State District Thermal Power Plant is in Moscow Region and is one of the oldest power plants in Russia.

The difficult truth is that there is a clear national security element to social media information flows. It can't all be viewed through the single lens of free speech. Disinformation sabotage is a hostile act intended to destablise our societies. Our societies need appropriate protection.

It's been obvious for years that many social media accounts are foreign trolls. The tragedy has been the utter complacency about it. All an enemy had to do was tinkle a little bell and the dumb doggies would bark away at each other. Why bother with a nuclear arsenal?

1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

It is very hard to overstate the evil of the fossil fuel industry.

When people finally do figure it out, it may be too late to undo the damage.
U.N. climate talks fizzle out 10 years after Paris accord
Nearly 200 countries at the U.N. climate summit reached a deal that didn’t include a road map to curtail use of fossil fuels, the main driver of climate change.

Mark Kelly: "The message he sent a couple days ago was he declared that loyalty to the Constitution is now punishable by death. Those are serious words coming from the president. He's trying to intimidate us. But I'm not going to be intimidated."

Remember this tactic that might be needed someday.

The police in Brazil arrested former President Jair Bolsonaro on Saturday amid fears that he might escape house arrest to avoid serving a 27-year prison sentence for a failed coup plot, according to a Brazilian court order.

Holy shit. So Elon decides it would be nice to know what region of the world people are posting from. So they add that little feature.
2 hours later they figure out that many Trump supporters with millions of followers are posting from other countries. Surprise!
That "feature" is now gone.
