this is a really interesting point and i've been thinking along similar lines. the reaction to renee's murder was explosive, but the reaction to alex's murder feels like more of a turning point.
as a lesbian activist & proud race traitor, I'll say it: Alex Pretti was the hero we needed to lay his life down for freedom, because the people who weren't already aware of the stakes didn't see themselves in Renee Macklin Good (ask me how I know)

Every school district in the country needs to treat this as the five alarm fire it is. They are going to keep doing this until they are made to stop.
