Asking "why" about any problem in modern society is like if every episode of Scooby Doo, they pulled off the mask, and it was literally the same guy. Every time.

Why climate change? Capitalism.
Why war? Capitalism.
Why sick? Capitalism.
Why starving? Capitalism.
Why pedo presidents? Capitalism.
El problema es el capitalismo

While giving credit for the NFL being against all this, I think people would benefit from a reminder of how they treated Colin Kaepernick (and other players) for kneeling in protest of police brutality and systemic racism.
This isn't a moral stance. It's "reading the room" and dollar-focused.
IMO the NFL knows exactly what they did choosing Bad Bunny & Green Day, the Super Bowl as a wink-wink 🖕🖕 to Trumpism & those that swore they’d leave over anthem kneeling—but didn’t. NFL cares most about growth, which means not aligning w/ a local cult that is widely reviled & increasingly unpopular.

Johnson pardoning Confederates.
Zero punishment for those behind The Business Plot in 1933.
Ford pardoning Nixon.

The US has an endless addiction to granting clemency to traitors in the interest of "healing."

News flash: Justice is required to heal!
I will not vote for any candidate who runs with "we need to move forward" and refuses to prosecute this administration for every single one of their crimes. Accountability is all.

Forgiveness requires not just an apology, but a change in behavior.
Most of these people who are finally realizing how disgusting Trump is will still vote Republican again... For the rest of their lives. They just see Trump as a *bad* Republican/RINO, and not how the GOP enabled all this.
As much as we want to rip them a new one for getting us into this mess, when people on the right come forward and apologize and admit they were wrong, we should probably welcome them to the light.

The day I learned that the US is not a member of the ICC was the day I realized all our bluster about defending human rights and international law was bullshit.
I've been disillusioned since 9th grade.

A brand new Super PAC — Elect Chicago Women — just dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars into this race. Why?

Because it’s actually a front for AIPAC dark money. And they’re doing everything they can to buy my race:

A sure fire way to get a law abiding, Constitution following Third Party to save Democracy:

1. VOTE out all Republicans, they are responsible for this mess.

2. VOTE out all the Democrats who did not stand up to Trump and this abhorrent Administration.

3. Coalesce those who stood for Democracy.

On the one hand, I'd hate to see an innocent person's career ruined just because they attended a party without knowing how much of a monster the host was.
On the other hand, if *I* were such a person, I'd be fine with *everyone* burning, just to make sure we don't miss a single one of the monsters.
It is important to realize, that to attract big names to the island, he used "BAIT" AKA interesting celebrities, speakers, entertainers who may have had NO IDEA about the ultimate goal of seducing and blackmailing BIG NAMES. They were window dressing for his HONEYPOT operation.

Character is more important than capability, every time.
One lesson from the Epstein–Mandelson affair is that we need to stop routinely rehabilitating political careers after serious scandals.

When politicians knowingly engage in grave ethical wrongdoing, that should permanently end their political careers. Being "talented" should not override that.

How many boxes need to be checked for a banana republic dictator wannabe to actually gain the oligarch throne?

So far:

• Became filthy rich robbing the US
• Formed Führer's 'police' force
• Invaded states paramilitarily
• Elections takeover begun
• Unchecked power sought
• Unaliving citizens begun

I am not usually one to comment on the age or appearance of women (or anyone, for that matter), but...
Does anyone else think it looks like she has aged a decade in the past year?
Perhaps selling one's soul enacts a physical price in addition to the eternal price.
Imagine seeing photos and videos of ugly old men raping underage girls and thinking, "I need to protect those horrible men at all costs."?

Pam Bondi is a soulless villain.

One wild thing about all this is that it has actually turned me into an anti-federalist. Republicans finally settled that debate for me by showing exactly how untrustworthy the Federal Government can be.

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

You know... I'm starting to think the FBI has always been a domestic spy organization masquerading as federal law enforcement...
We already knew Trump was an adjudicated rapist who raped E. Jean Carroll. And we knew that he got away with raping dozens of other women.

Now we have detailed accounts of Trump’s VIOLENT RAPE of CHILDREN, reported to the FBI and the FBI did NOTHING about it—just like the rapist-in-chief.

Remember when the Emoluments Clause *alone* would have been enough to impeach a President?

We have enough evidence to send him to prison for thousands of years at this point, and Republicans *still* won't impeach.

The GOP is a seditious terrorist organization centered around pedophiles.

They'd rather see our nation destroyed (or even the world, for that matter) than ever let people live their lives freely.
Conservatism is a toxic political cult with roots in the Confederacy that has turned the US into a dictatorship ruled by pedophiles who are depriving our right to free speech, taking bribes, committing treason, and perpetrating crimes against humanity.
