Putting people with ADHD in a *concentration* camp is bitterly ironic
RFK Jr said he wants to send folks who are taking antidepressants and ADHD medications to "wellness farms" in rural America where they will be forced to labor by growing organic food to "cure their addictions."

in the public interest, the Internet Archive should not be removing posts at the behest of DOGE
The Internet Archive has removed its archives of individual tweets from the account belonging to DOGE staffer Marko Elez.

The WSJ reported yesterday that this account belonged to Ekes, and that many of these tweets were racist and led to his resignation.

Stop trying to debate things that aren’t up for discussion. The right of trans people to exist, racial equality, and disability rights are non-negotiable. Debating them only legitimizes bigotry

Lack of camel case makes me read bestPracticesExchange as bestPracticeSexChange EVERY SINGLE TIME (even though I know better (and know that is not the preferred terminology) )
Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use #camelCase or #PascalCase in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have #DoctorWhoRewatch ("Doctor Who Rewatch") or #doctorwhorewatch ("doctor whore watch.")

Book recommendation for archivists (or anyone who likes a dark short story collection): Office of Historical Corrections by Danielle Evans. The novella that shares the book's title really really spoke to me as someone who really cares about historical context. (The rest is also very good.)

The combined net worth of America's twelve wealthiest people passed $2 trillion last year.

12 people. $2 trillion.

Meanwhile, U.S. homelessness increased 18% in 2024.

Our problem isn’t an issue of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.
