1/ My day on the blog tour for "The Winter Job" by Antti Tuomainen, who turns a seemingly mundane cross-country furniture delivery into a darkly humorous thriller which was SO much fun to read! @orendabooks.bsky.social @annerandomthings.bsky.social

On CBS #SundayMorning tomorrow... @brian-goldstone.bsky.social, author of "There is No Place for Us".

#homelessness #homeless
Some news: tomorrow at 9am, Ted Koppel + CBS Sunday Morning will air a two-part story on the devastating surge of full-time workers being pushed into homelessness.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

Have you heard the pitter-patter of tiny feet? A bundle of joy was hand-delivered to Voi on Wednesday, with the birth of our 80th grandcalf! Here's a sneak peek of the tiny baby, born to one of our orphaned elephants. Can you guess who the proud mother is? We'll be sharing more in our next post.

I'm with @caseyexplosion.bsky.social; I might sound like a broken record on #AI, but if history teaches us anything, it's not a question of IF the bubble will burst, but when. AI is the world's most successful thief but it has an end date, and so do its purveyors.
I probably sound like a broken record, but I cannot wait for this AI bubble to burst, I want to see the architects of this tech to be taken for every penny by those whose artwork they stole for training data, and I want those tools to cease function and be confined to the same memory hole as NFTs.
Ubisoft and Treyarch resorting to regurgitative AI in their big $70 “AAA” games is simply pathetic.

The lack of integrity, the lack of dignity, the lack of pride. Sure, it’s all expected, but nonetheless miserably *pathetic* to witness.

Have some fucking self respect for once.

Just want to say that Pluribus on Apple+ is flippin brilliant. As is Apple's Down Cemetery Road, the book that I accidentally bought twice because I loved the cover too much for the good of my pocket. In other news, can nothing rid me of this troublesome cough!!! I want to wring my lungs out.

I created "Sighting: Hackensack, New Jersey, 1947" with scans of actual pages from the FBI's declassified UFO files. It's been one of my favorite tees lately. #bsnm

Paging the #Uglydogs, as we do.
If you caught up with our latest Patreon post (it's free / public on Patreon at ATAO Kennel!), you probably saw we've had a slew of vet visits, especially for some back issues for both Annie and Furiosa. Both have some spine and joint issues (from playing / running & colliding at high speeds 🤦‍♂️ )
