If family sized condos (3-4 bedrooms) that didn't fall in the "luxury" category and therefore cost more than a house of comparable size existed in old Toronto in 2003, we 100% would have bought one instead of our semi, and we'd probably still be in it or another larger one (extra kid, extra bedroom)

This is funny. I completely understand why the Greens (and the other opposition parties except maybe the Bloc) don't want to trigger an election, but we ALL know Carney is as committed to the Paris targets as he is committed to coming into work in sweatpants and t-shirt.

The parking lot at Danforth & Playter is even worse than @shawnmicallef.bsky.social depicts. It was made after a gas station was demolished < 20 yrs ago when we knew better. Cld have turned it into a square then & it's so small it only holds a meaningless # of cars but still destroys the streetscape
Parking! In the wknd Toronto Star I write about what to do with our underused parking lots & garages. New data shows lots profound emptiness. There’s more efficient & useful possibilities. City is already building some housing, but NIMBYs are protesting just as the sun rises. Ignore em & go harder.
