#Starmer's #Labour have run out of money because they choose to inflict more #BrexitDisaster on the UK.
All pro #Brexit isolation parties are choosing to increase your TAXES.

Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

The UK is losing up to £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit, House of Commons Library analysis for the Lib Dems suggests.

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn

Got to keep watching the country crumble, apparently that's the honourable thing to do.
Break down in civilization possibly as afters, care of a populist grifting party?

Brexit costs the tax payer £40 billion a year. How the fuck is this not the main story around the budget?!
John Major, "Our links to Europe and America may be loser now than once they were and that is a loss"

"The loss of trade with Europe alone costs us £100 billion of lost trade every year"

"That's a tax yield of £40 billion"

"How useful would that have been in recent months to the Chancellor?"

Humans will NEVER colonize another planet. Never.

If we can’t even agree to do the minimum to keep Earth habitable, there’s no way in hell we’ll cooperate to make another planet habitable.

Extreme cold. Regularly bombarded with rocks due to little atmosphere. Subject to radiation. Exposed and deadly. A human settlement won't stand a chance unless deep underground.

Reflecting times out of kilter
People feeling so sad
How things are
Chase to keep up
Look on in horror
Twisted and turned
Ecology burned
Rivers polluted
Out from under our feet
Traitors all
Didn't need to be this way
Once upon a time
In England lost

England my England
Tea & crumpets long gone
Still my birth land
But so much has gone wrong
Institutions & enquiries
Leaders chasing money that flees
Countryside drooping ragged flags
Hung not with pride but hate
Corruption with a small C
A nod
a wink
a special rate
Pretence we are free
Forever serfs

BREAKING: #COP30 ends without a deal to transition away from fossil fuels, halt deforestation, or secure a nature package.

Modest steps fall far short of what’s needed after a year above 1.5°C.

The work is more urgent than ever – and it must be delivered.

Nearly 30 countries refuse to sign a final #COP30 agreement that doesn't include "fossil fuel phase-out," as negotiations head into overtime.

Hugely disappointing, with world now on track to yet more heating & chaos, & poorest hit first & hardest. This process needs radically rethinking - meantime it’s vital that the Brazil-led coalition of the willing urgently delivers on plans to leave fossil fuels in the ground #COP30

A climate deal without explicit language calling for a fossil fuel phaseout is like a ceasefire without explicit language calling for a suspension of hostilities.

1/ #COP30 has ended meekly in Belém. Governments failed to turn early momentum into real action on forests, finance or fossil fuels.

2/ Hopes was high when a draft roadmap to phase out fossil fuels and end deforestation appeared. But talks collapsed under entrenched positions on mitigation and finance.
