Doesn't say anything for the political instincts of Number 10 that they were surprised by a positive response to a positive EU agenda.

Doesn't say much for their diplomatic instincts that this came 12 months too late to make a difference to negotiations. www.politico.eu/article/brex...

Reform UK are raising Council Tax across the country. They claim they didn’t formally pledge to reduce it.

The graphic attached shows exactly what they campaigned on during the Local Elections.

The super-rich rightwing are pouring money into Reform. Do ordinary voters really think their aim is to even out social inequality and make their lives better? Do they think they’re doing it so Farage invests in infrastructure and public services? Ffs. Democracy being beaten to death in plain sight.

Putin: ‘Russia is ready to keep fighting until the last Ukrainian dies.’

Western politicians & press: ‘Peace talks have stalled…’

Russia has zero interest in peace. Calling Kremlin demands for Ukrainian surrender ‘peace talks’ is just another way of spreading their propaganda.

While "peace" negotiations continue, remember that Russia could simply stop the war at any time.

"Boris Johnson, directly echoed this two years later. In May 2016, he told reporters that “if you want an example of EU foreign policy-making on the hoof, and the EU’s pretensions to running a defence policy that have caused real trouble, then look at what has happened in Ukraine”."

Is Farage still facing scrutiny over his partner’s £885k Frinton home.

Is it aggressive tax avoidance? Has he misled voters? Where’s the transparency? What’s happening?

Just asking questions.

What seems to be missing is political will to move at emergency speed.

"It just means that everyone will pay more tax"

"People are talking more and more about fascism, and often confusing it with populism. But we need to understand how fascism stands out. It has never been just a matter of words or beliefs. It is a leader-centred cult that uses violence to eliminate opposition."

Useful . Wisdom precise not vague.
Fascism is rare, but its logic isn’t gone.

Understanding its real nature helps us recognise when politics starts drifting towards something far more dangerous than populism.

Prof Paul Kenny explains
The nature of fascism and why it differs from populism
Fascism isn’t populism; it fuses leader-worship with organised violence to crush opposition entirely and decisively at roots
