As it is right now huge LLMs have been a massive drain on our society: threatening livelihoods, driving up prices, and strengthening fascists via misinformation machines. ML for cancer detection, anti-aliasing? Sounds great. Gigawatts of power and petabytes of RAM for massive LLMs? No.

Instead of making robots that reduce our society's need to have back breaking labour and exploit the weakest, these big LLMs keep trying to take away the few moments we have at communal expression: Our writing, our art. That is the opposite direction that it should be going in.
