we raised $110k for trans kids & $31k for immigrant kids almost all through bsky! There is NO WAY anything i did in meatspace could have made that happen. We changed lives, & we did it through community and art and the power of the internet (& the our flag means death fandom, cast, & crew)!!

Four years on HRT.
I love you all, thanks for listening thanks for understanding.
Four years ago I made an appointment with Planned Parenthood for a general consultation on hrt, “out of curiosity”. I left that appointment with a prescription for estradiol and spironolactone. The next day I started hrt. This morning I woke up feeling rested after a rough night of stress dreams about working in a bar and running out of glasses. I don't know, you tell me what it means. But I woke up and took my meds and got dressed and made coffee like I do every morning as this swamp witch of a woman I've allowed myself to grow into. It has been a very rough year. At the time of this writing I'm still unemployed from August. I was harassed at my last job and had gross jokes made about me by management, and got fired two weeks after reporting it. I was booted from a booking agency along with the other trans woman on the roster the same week as the initial anti trans Executive Orders dropped. I still have no representation. Every day I worry the shoe is gonna drop for us. And every day I am saved by the strongest people I know: other women, trans men, trans women, nonbinary and genderqueer people, and the occasional ally who is truly in it to help. Being trans is hard. It is a true foundation test for every relationship you have and I'm not exaggerating. By changing yourself into who was always there, you run the risk of alienating those who prefer your early material, so to speak. But it's worth it. I promise you, the work and the tears and the pain are worth the joy and love and relief that knowing brings. If you think it's for you then go on hrt. There are resources easily available on any device you're reading this on. Don't die not knowing. I hate how meme-ified the shot from I Saw The TV Glow has become because it is genuine and true and important to remember that there is in fact still time. I love you all.
