Why not spend an hour talking #kidlit here on Bluesky? Why not make that hour be today at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific when we have #kidlitchat (like we do every Tuesday)? Good plan! And I hope to see you then….

Any suggestions for good books on writing memoir, or non-fiction generally, and in which the books discussed as examples are by diverse authors? I'm looking for some books to gift to a young writer.

Thinking about the joy that my kids have in sharing their art with me, even the art that is doodled all over their homework--you know that feeling when you got that cat drawing just right. and you want someone else to see it? I love seeing what they've made. AI can't replace the joy in sharing art.

Musk wants to be a Renaissance man, but he's not even a paleolithic man.

Paleolithic people made art, cared for the sick, & got together to share resources & ideas.

Musk would have died alone, crying that no one saw the genius of his plan to monetize hitting yourself in the head with a big rock.

Happy birthday to me and us 🎉🎉🎉 I'm an identical twin born on 11/11, which is also my dad's birthday. It was always a big day in my family when I was growing up. Sharing a birthday is a wonderful thing. Sis and I are 45 today!

An exciting update! Mass Freedom To Read has been working overtime to get amendments filed that substantially strengthen this bill, and all the amendments have been filed! It's time to contact your MA senators to urge them to support the amendment: www.massfreedomtoread.org/news/cta-sup...

Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

The "best" food is hard to say but the city that surprised me most was Portland, OR. Everyone told me Portland had good food and I was like..."um ok my parents live in NYC so I'm picky". But yeah, they have good food. Toronto also has great food.
What cities had the best food that you've been to?

And I've been doing politics for long enough to know clearly that the entire Senate Democratic caucus agreed to this decision to fold. Open your eyes. The 8 who "broke" did so with the complete blessing of Schumer and their colleagues. You don't have to play along because this is not a game. The end
