Yes, this is correct. And the reason is because our capitalist classes have decided that it is not sufficiently profitable, so they're not going to do it.

We must understand this reality. Capital *cannot* be relied upon to address the climate crisis.

I notice that Labour MPs have been told to refer to themselves as “progressives” in any social media posts. Labour are clearly trying to row back from courting Reform and are very worried about the popularity of @ZackPolanski
and @TheGreenParty policies.

Absolute genius strategy. No way that could backfire…

Unless, say, the greens started polling ahead of Labour and became the new tactical vote against Reform.

But nah. Who could imagine that?!

Trans people warned those groups like the “LGB Alliance”, and other Vichy gays etc, that the fascists were coming for them after they had helped the fascists come for us.

Every single one of these anti-trans “LGB” groups, is a Quisling group & should be referred to as fascist collaborators.

The new Gates climate memo isn't a pivot; it's a continuation of "a consistent pattern of downplaying clean energy while promoting dubious and potentially dangerous technofixes in which he is often personally invested," @michaelemann.bsky.social argues in @thebulletin.org:
You can’t reboot the planet if you crash it
What Gates is putting forward aren’t legitimate arguments that can be made in good faith. They are shopworn fossil fuel industry talking points.
