The ethic that the Trump administration is instilling in government agencies is one of evasion, defiance and dishonesty
ICE officials under a judge’s order to clean up squalid conditions on the 10th floor of 26 Federal Plaza detained migrants on a secret floor where they decided that ruling didn’t apply, attorneys for the Trump administration said Monday.

ICE Moved Detainees to Previously Undisclosed Floor of 26 Federal Plaza
A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to reduce overcrowding and squalid conditions at a Manhattan holding room. Months later, he finds ICE merely shifted floors.

Puerto Rico residents lost about 27 hours of power each year from 2021 to 2024—all without accounting for electricity failures from hurricanes or other major disasters.

In comparison, residents in the mainland US experience about two hours of power loss each year.

Must read reporting for @propublica.org by @micarosenberg.bsky.social, who spent weeks speaking with parents and children detained at Dilley about conditions there.
This is 18-mo-old Amalia waving to me when she was detained.

She was hospitalized with a respiratory infection while at ICE’s Dilley facility for immigrant families.

She’s one of dozens of detainees who I spoke to via video and phone calls, letters and an in-person visit. 🧵1/

This is torture. The US is torturing children. Children whose words and whose art contain infinitely more humanity than the people keeping them detained.

Our legal team is suing ICE and CPB for footage from their raids. Let's see how Kristi Noem's transparency claim holds up.
After announcing that all federal agents will be issued body cameras, Kristi Noem called this administration the most transparent in American history. We're putting that claim to the test.

This is Maria, a 6-year-old detained by ICE last year.

She began to unravel soon after arriving at a detention center in Texas, wetting the bed after years without accidents, crying through the night and begging to breastfeed again.

Most of all, she wanted to be reunited with her cat, Milo. 1/
