I am loath to make a car metaphor but saying people will accept the magical “AI” nobody has invented yet because it shares underlying tech with predictive text is like saying people will like flying cars nobody has invented yet because they share internal combustion engines with their current cars
We need to be clear that existing task-focused, invisible ML stuff that was already accepted by the market is not at all the same thing as the “AI” god-servant-best friend product that we’re currently having a bubble about, which is both unattainable and extremely undesirable

NEW data I've received: Just 5% of people detained by ICE since October 1 have had violent criminal convictions, 3/4 had no criminal convictions at all. Most "criminals" had immigration, traffic, and vice offenses. Not the "worst of the worst"...

At Superdawg watching some girls try to take a selfie with the roof statues but couldn’t get an angle without the sun behind them. I wanted to tell them “the hot dogs have faces on both sides” but that felt like a pretty insane thing to say to a stranger

Turns out that paving project on the Lechowicz Woods portion of the North Branch Trail was also an unpaving project. They removed the entire back parking lot and replaced the awkward curve to it where trail users had to share the driveway with dedicated trail. Massive improvement

![Where's Herb? was an advertising campaign for the fast food chain Burger King that ran in 1985 and 1986. The television commercials featured a fictional character named Herb, who was described as never having eaten a Whopper in his life. Advertisements called on fans to visit their local Burger King in the hope of finding Herb and winning a prize. The campaign also included an "I'm not Herb" promotion, in which customers could get a discounted Whopper by including the phrase in their order. This confused people who tried to follow the promotion because they did not know what Herb looked like. By the time his appearance was revealed, many people had already lost interest in the campaign. The promotion was poorly received and was the last campaign that the J. Walter Thompson agency designed for Burger King.
