Some thoughts on this thing, which I've seen pop up a lot of times today.

I'm often confronted with nervous, insecure adolescent students who are early on their musical journeys, have been bitten by the bug a little and have now become intimidated by the idea that they expect something of…
Anyone who supports this is an embarrassment. "Instead of typing it out they'll generate their idea"? Are you insane?

Call yourself whatever you want but you aren't creatives, that's for sure.

Masks on everyone.
Farage says, "I didn't wear them (masks) last time, and I won't wear them this time" and dismisses mask mandates as "rubbish".

Here's Farage in 2020.

Man's a dangerous idiot.

For the past six weeks, an AI Facebook account has been pulling my history posts on Instagram and slopping out new captions, so I’ve been feeding it poison pills and its followers are having meltdowns in the comments. It’s been pretty spectacular.

God help me, I'm gonna actually defend "AI" a bit here: this stuff is like tracer dye revealing how corrupt and decrepit so many of our institutional processes already were long before this garbage came along.
"Runctitiononal features"? "Medical fymblal"? "1 Tol Line storee"? This gets worse the longer you look at it. But it's got to be good, because it was published in Nature Scientific Reports last week: www.nature.com/articles/s41... h/t @asa.tsbalans.se

So we are clear welfare spending in this country is NOT “out of control”. It’s risen very little in 10+ years. Small increase due to ageing & ill population. But benefits to working age families & children have been cut severely. Over 70% of children in poverty live in working families #Budget2025

Universities are in crisis, and I don’t think it’s helpful to phrase that as “exiting the market”. They’re not mid-range shoe shops, these are educational pillars in society
Chief exec of OfS 'said the OfS believes there are 24 institutions at risk of exiting the market in the next 12 months, seven of which are large providers with more than 3,000 students. There are another 25 or so institutions of various sizes at risk over a two- to three-year period, she added.'
Seven ‘large providers’ at risk of going under in the next year
Skills minister says no higher education institutions are at imminent risk of collapse this year but OfS confirms more than 20 providers are being closely monitored

I find the conclusion line of UK's covid inquiry poor
- "be more prudent next time" has zero actionable value
- Rationale put forward relies on counterfactuals and does not include that measures only delay never avoid

However, most of the report's critique is equally poor
