BRAINS is up for sale on itch! If you'd like to wait for print, you can grab it at MICE or wait til it's available through Radiator Comics sometime after MICE.
Just finished my animations for this and I am so happy. The puppets are also done and I got a little prop for one of them, it’s funny, now just comes getting all the timings down for my actual reading. I’m having so much fun with all of this 🧠
I'm so excited and honored to be one of the recipients of this year's MICE Mini-Grants for my new comic, BRAINS, which is a love letter to the brain and a giant middle finger to so-called AI. I will also be doing a reading from it at MICE on Dec. 6th during the Science Comics Carousel from 1-2PM!

If you would like to read the rest of this 40-page comic, BRAINS, you can snag it from itch for $10, I just put it up in my shop. It will also be available in print at MICE (micexpo.org) in December, where each one will have a hand-drawn custom illustration at the back of the book on the last page.

Spoke to @melodyschreiber.com about the only story that matters re Olivia Nuzzi--her role in elevating RFK Jr, a man who is doing and will do so much harm to global health, even for decades after he leaves this position.
I don't care about her hikes in the desert, her exile or her terrible prose.
Olivia Nuzzi wrote an entire story based on unnamed sources about Biden's decline, reinvigorating calls for him to leave the race -- and the whole time, she was working on RFK Jr.'s behalf, according to her ex-fiance. newrepublic.com/article/2035...
Olivia Nuzzi’s Real Victims
More than her fiancé, or fellow female journalists, the public will pay the price for these misdeeds. RFK Jr. will see to that.

I put this up for sale early cause I came back to like a zillion notifications and I have no job right now, buy my comic! It's made by a human who loves making comics out of spite, this is the second in my unofficial spite series. The first was a comic about learning to write HTML to spite one guy.

My counterproposal is that everyone ditch ChatGPT and just deal with the ostensible perfectionism using shark handpuppets.

"Emma, will you ask your friend Jabberjaw to lead us in saying grace…"

This is what the Butterball Turkey hotline is for. Also, find people you don't have to be perfect around. Werewolf and Jack-In-The-Box are good party games. Ask people what superpower they would want, or a hobby they want to try in the new year.
This is so soulless, I can't stand it. We have BRAINS. We can USE THEM.

Scientists: have you been the target of an online harassment campaign, doxxing, or weaponized FOIA requests? I'd like to talk to you about steps you had to take to protect your digital security for an upcoming Nature story. (You can be anonymous if necessary.)

RTs appreciated.

Also every print copy at MICE has a custom illustration in the back because I realized I had an extra page and thought that would be a cool thing to do for this comic in particular, plus I did not have to move any pages around, bonus.

I have developed zero recipes for NYTimes Cooking, and more than 100 for ATK, this is correct
My public service announcement for today is that America’s Test Kitchen, which is infinitely better then NYTimes Cooking, has introduced a new gift link option that has no limit on how many you can share and each link lasts 30 days.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Not the point of course, but if someone suggested reading a poem before dessert at my family's Thanksgiving dinner someone would ask them what the fuck their problem was and then they'd be called "Walt Fuckin' Whitman" every Thanksgiving for the rest of their days. bsky.app/profile/alex...
