And yeah, I guess I’m looking at this from the perspective of someone whose insurance paid out tens of thousands of dollars for my cancer surgery and recovery.
Again, it took decades for universality in health care to be kind of achieved, and these guys think they can reform the system with an idea they came up with while on the shitter.
Trump on healthcare: "I've had personal talks with some Democrats about paying large amounts of dollars back to the people. This was my idea ... why don't we just pay this money directly to the people of our country and let them buy their own health insurance?"

I’ve mentioned this before, but Brian Stetler commented, when asked about the media’s lack of interest in reporting on Trump’s mental deficiencies during the campaign, that it wouldn’t move his voters away from him.
Perfect example of political media operating under the post-truth standard that (1) distorts the facts until the parties look approximately equal, and (2) holds “do MAGA voters care?” as a higher standard than “is it true?” or “is it important for the public to know about this?”

The America First solution to the housing crunch isn’t a 50-year mortgage. It’s 100+ million deportations.
