the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

sagaftra.org why should anyone feel right working for Disney right now? Why should they feel that the company is respecting rights or laws at this point - or that their job will be won't be the next to go at the whim of someone in government?

The government ignored his protective legal status & deported Abrego Garcia. “Now they claim that the court is powerless to order any relief. If that’s true, the immigration laws are meaningless because the government can deport ANYONE & no court can do anything about it once it’s done.”

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too?

My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR.

My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down.

I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

In the following exchange we try to get at how Trump is spreading reactionary terror. This is powerful stuff from Jayapal:

Trump's bizarre new tirade over Elon Musk, Tesla, and the "radical left" actually shows weakness. Trump now sees that his political fortunes are tightly tied to Musk's DOGE disasters, and he sees Tesla's tanking stock as a very bad omen.

Trump’s Crazed Midnight Tirade over Musk’s Unpopularity Shows Weakness
Trump hates green energy—but he loves Teslas, which he’s now pathetically pleading with his followers to buy as a show of loyalty and devotion to Elon Musk.
