Something that I feel has been missed in the discussion of A’ja Wilson’s greatness is that the payoff of her ascent is earned.

Four years to the day since being blocked by Brittney Griner with a series on the line, Wilson’s game three game winner marks the completion of her hero’s journey.
With A WNBA Finals Game Winner In Hand, A'ja Wilson's Ascent Is Now Complete
There's no question about it now. One win away from a third WNBA title in four years and on the heels of a Game Three game winning jumper, A'ja Wilson is officially the undisputed best in the world.

For all the BS about “an expanded playoff devalues the regular season” it sure made the Iron Bowl, LSU vs Oklahoma and Cal vs SMU a whole hell of a lot more interesting than they otherwise would be…
Dude the actual college football was so much more interesting than the coach who couldn’t decide what team he wants to coach. Hold onto that

Also pretty good year for former South Dakota State/North Dakota State coaches…

Jake Dickert 9-3
Jason Eck 9-3
Matt Entz 8-4
Chris Klieman 6-6
Jimmy Rogers 6-6
David Braun 6-6

Tim Polasek 12-0 (FCS)
Brent Vigen 10-2 (FCS)

Seems if you want a good program, get someone from there…

Final PAC-12 standings this year…

Oregon 11-1
Utah 10-2
USC 9-3
Arizona 9-3
Washington 8-4
Arizona State 8-4
Cal 7-5
Wazzu 6-6
Stanford 4-8
UCLA 3-9
Colorado 3-9
Oregon State 2-10

What is dead may never die…

Wait this is legitimately HILARIOUS.
So Manny Diaz makes the ACC title game before Miami does, you say?
November 30, 2025 at 4:42 AM
The ACC should’ve died and the Pac-12 lived
November 30, 2025 at 4:38 AM
I love how Cal has maybe 16,000 people left in the stands and still manages to sound loud on the broadcast.

For all the handwringing over the Big Ten being propped up by Ohio State…

Outside of 1 outlier LSU year the SEC has been a big bunch of mid outside of two brands that fool a bunch of rubes into believing it’s a better conference than anyone else.
So, it'll be Georgia-Alabama in the SEC championship game next weekend.
November 30, 2025 at 4:32 AM
Greg Sankey, once again, getting his mid ass conference bailed out by Alabama and Georgia.

It’s been a decade of two teams holding up a brigade of mid but we have to be subjected to three loss SEC teams in the playoff discourse.

Hate it.

Enjoy the portal, Cam Coleman.
November 30, 2025 at 4:23 AM
Wow.

Kalen DeBoer was either gonna get fired or save his job there. No in between.
November 30, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Sankey made the call and here comes Bama.
November 30, 2025 at 4:03 AM
While valid on one level…the NFL is currently dealing with the same problem in the AFC so I don’t think there’s any getting around it.

Just a weird year and Mario being Mario.
For real though. Chaos is great but having to watch a bad 7-5 Duke team in a conference title game while an actual good team sits home because of tiebreaker minutiae is just bad
This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.

Only thing that stinks about Oklahoma winning is it means Vanderbilt is probably out of the CFP.
November 30, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Oklahoma is making a case for 9-3 Texas and I HATE IT.
If it comes down to it, vastly prefer Vandy over Oklahoma in the playoff. Not that they asked me or that they're gonna flip teams from 8 and 14 after they both win. But we all know what we're looking at here
November 29, 2025 at 11:55 PM
He really is Manziel’s spiritual successor. Give him the Heisman.
Diego Pavia might be the single most irritating QB to face as a defender in college football history
November 29, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Pavia deserves the Heisman man
November 29, 2025 at 11:32 PM
University chancellor got some good pics at Folsom with his cowboy hat and Jordan’s on so naturally we’re gonna ride this thing until we circle the drain 🫠
Colorado's three worst conference seasons in the last decade:

Year 3 of Deion - 1 win
Year 1 of Deon - 1 win
Year before Deion - 1 win

Why did Rick George give "Coach Prime" all that money? Certainly wasn't about winning
November 29, 2025 at 8:06 PM
That was an absolutely nasty route by Jeremiah Smith oh my goodness
November 29, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Maybe 18 team conferences with tilted schedules and no divisions was a bad thing?

Who knew!
Putting Ohio State on potential fraud watch
November 29, 2025 at 5:31 PM
I could not be rooting harder for Michigan to win just to kill Texas playoff discourse
November 29, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Is this the moment where P4 schools like Ole Miss that aren’t superleague level realize we’ve overindexed on realignment?

Like, if ESPN is gonna tell you you’re second class…at what point do the intraconference battles start to happen between AD’s/Prez/Boosters and Sankey?
He's going to spend the entire playoff run recruiting his own players to leave with him. Untenable situation for the school. This show's PR campaign for Kiffin is unbelievable
Kirk Herbstreit implores Ole Miss administrators to allow Lane Kiffin to coach the Rebels — if he leaves for LSU — and let him finish what he and his players started.
November 29, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Saying this next to Saban is hysterical given the history…
Kirk Herbstreit implores Ole Miss administrators to allow Lane Kiffin to coach the Rebels — if he leaves for LSU — and let him finish what he and his players started.
November 29, 2025 at 4:25 PM
The real wrinkle now is former media guys who now work for the team who either take part in the bullying or run interference for coaches in the scrum.

But enough about Rob Moseley.
When I was 22-24 I was terrified of grown ass man coaches and made small mistakes, but I had David Cutcliffe, who took it on himself to patiently teach me.

These days coaches are sinfully mean to young media almost a sport
It’s such dorky bully behavior and media members really have to get better about just calling coaches assholes to their face.

I’ve known Ben for a long time, he made a joke this week about Lane and Lane couldn’t handle it. Lane’s abrasive and condescending to everyone on that beat because he can get away with it. He‘s also a master at making himself a victim
