Something that I feel has been missed in the discussion of A’ja Wilson’s greatness is that the payoff of her ascent is earned.

Four years to the day since being blocked by Brittney Griner with a series on the line, Wilson’s game three game winner marks the completion of her hero’s journey.
With A WNBA Finals Game Winner In Hand, A'ja Wilson's Ascent Is Now Complete
There's no question about it now. One win away from a third WNBA title in four years and on the heels of a Game Three game winning jumper, A'ja Wilson is officially the undisputed best in the world.

Only thing that stinks about Oklahoma winning is it means Vanderbilt is probably out of the CFP.
November 30, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Oklahoma is making a case for 9-3 Texas and I HATE IT.
If it comes down to it, vastly prefer Vandy over Oklahoma in the playoff. Not that they asked me or that they're gonna flip teams from 8 and 14 after they both win. But we all know what we're looking at here

He really is Manziel’s spiritual successor. Give him the Heisman.
Diego Pavia might be the single most irritating QB to face as a defender in college football history
November 29, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Pavia deserves the Heisman man

University chancellor got some good pics at Folsom with his cowboy hat and Jordan’s on so naturally we’re gonna ride this thing until we circle the drain 🫠
Colorado's three worst conference seasons in the last decade:

Year 3 of Deion - 1 win
Year 1 of Deon - 1 win
Year before Deion - 1 win

Why did Rick George give "Coach Prime" all that money? Certainly wasn't about winning
November 29, 2025 at 8:06 PM
That was an absolutely nasty route by Jeremiah Smith oh my goodness
November 29, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Maybe 18 team conferences with tilted schedules and no divisions was a bad thing?

Who knew!
Putting Ohio State on potential fraud watch

I could not be rooting harder for Michigan to win just to kill Texas playoff discourse
November 29, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Is this the moment where P4 schools like Ole Miss that aren’t superleague level realize we’ve overindexed on realignment?

Like, if ESPN is gonna tell you you’re second class…at what point do the intraconference battles start to happen between AD’s/Prez/Boosters and Sankey?
He's going to spend the entire playoff run recruiting his own players to leave with him. Untenable situation for the school. This show's PR campaign for Kiffin is unbelievable
Kirk Herbstreit implores Ole Miss administrators to allow Lane Kiffin to coach the Rebels — if he leaves for LSU — and let him finish what he and his players started.

Saying this next to Saban is hysterical given the history…

The real wrinkle now is former media guys who now work for the team who either take part in the bullying or run interference for coaches in the scrum.

But enough about Rob Moseley.
When I was 22-24 I was terrified of grown ass man coaches and made small mistakes, but I had David Cutcliffe, who took it on himself to patiently teach me.

These days coaches are sinfully mean to young media almost a sport
It’s such dorky bully behavior and media members really have to get better about just calling coaches assholes to their face.

I’ve known Ben for a long time, he made a joke this week about Lane and Lane couldn’t handle it. Lane’s abrasive and condescending to everyone on that beat because he can get away with it. He‘s also a master at making himself a victim

Greg Sankey this week stumping for the SEC when mega conference scheduling is at the root of his best brands being potentially left out of the CFP.
November 29, 2025 at 5:21 AM
To me, the standard and rule should be simple in a 12 team playoff.

No three loss teams under any circumstance. Period. Over.

That needs to be the golden rule for every committee going forward. It’s the only way the sport doesn’t break completely.
November 29, 2025 at 4:53 AM
Played three teams in the current top 4…went 1-2 against them.

Sark and Sankey are gonna be disgustingly unethical this week man…
Sark: "I think we're absolutely a playoff team."

He came with stats:
- First team since 2019 LSU with three top-10 regular season wins.
- No. 5 SOS
- Played three teams in the current top 4
- Outgained Ohio State by 200 yards.

“But Bama had a worse loss to FSU!”

Great! Have Texas and Bama both lose!

Nobody told you to make a mega conference. I’d much rather see Utah in here
November 29, 2025 at 4:39 AM
100%

Just interesting seeing that intra-conference juxtaposition.

If anything, the real disservice to the sport is SEC coaches and Sankey repeatedly laundering nihilism to the press and ESPN just eating it up for their rights partner.
This is true. Playing in the championship game would’ve gone a long way toward signaling that things are different.

But no need to catastrophize. It’s one loss. They can regroup and win.

Still, tonight had to hurt.
Kirby can say what he wants about conference championships meaning nothing anymore but I guarantee A&M fans care a lot about not making it
November 29, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Easy case for Texas not to be in the CFP.

Don’t lose to Florida.

Has nothing to do with losing to Ohio State or Georgia. Don’t lose to Florida.

Full stop. Game over. Enjoy the Outback Bowl.
November 29, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Ugh. The discourse is gonna SUCK the next few weeks.

Name a more disappointing 11-1 season.

Sports has the same problem tbh
one thing i really resent is the way lizza, nuzzi and related parties have spent years acting like it’s their extreme reverence for american politics that allows them to slip inside the palace and tell their tales, regardless of party, when really they just wanted to be a part of the king’s court.
