Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

never doubt the ability of the halfwit C-suite class to make stupid decisions that screw the rest of us over, but: this is an excellent point that i haven't really seen made elsewhere. decentralizing technologies are always a threat to existing power structures, and AI is a decentralizing technology
Executives imagine they're bringing some secret sauce "idea guy" magic to the software industry. Nope, they bring:
1. Raise money
2. Coordinate people
If AI makes software suddenly require less money / people I really hate to break the news to you about whose jobs are at risk here.

I have not read the original books so I know nothing other than what’s in the movies. But this has always been my head cannon.
