Everyone owning a car to get places wouldn't be so bad if they were single or double capacity vehicles only. You got people in this country commuting to work half an hour or more in big ass SUVs and trucks. When something a little bit bigger than a motorcycle would do the same shit 4 cheaper.

As I didn't clarify earlier, the cycling was because I rode (some of) the Shimanami Kaido, an absolutely spectacular island-hopping route across the Seto inland sea. I started on the left (actually the south) and made it to the Omishima Bridge marked on the map.
