Hi-viz over camo to distinguish between state violence forces feels like the ultimate expression of context collapse, of the separation of use/practice from signification/meaning, of the nullification of symbolic efficacy and total absence/impossibility of shared or intuitive interpretation
Now the actual military has to dress like it’s not the military cuz federal law enforcement agencies dress too much like the military

Have this friend who is newish to #astrophotography here in Sydney. He did 40-hour mosaic on the Vela Supernova remnant in h-alpha/[O-III] …. And holy heck it is incomprehensibly magnificent!
Those are exploded star gutz. At its heart is the Vela pulsar. 🔭

MacOS Sequoia borked SMB connections to Synology. This is a problem if, like me, you use a NAS as storage for a Mac mini Plex server.
Best fix I've found is to replace the nsmb.conf file with this one that was posted on the Plex forums.

#TIL that Glucojel jelly beans are made by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, which is why they’re commonly found at chemists’ checkouts.
Like M&Ms, the jelly beans all have characters, but unlike M&Ms, they even have names, such as Visionary Violet and Yousuf Yellow.
